The Official Dreams Toys Top Christmas Toys List has been released and its got plenty to be excited about. This year there are 13 toys on the overall top Christmas toys 2012 and the Toy Retailer Association have also made lists for girls, boys, games, preschools, creative, construction, tech, dolls, interactive and educational. There are so many fantastic toys this Christmas that the Dream Toys 2012 list had to squeeze in. You will find all lists on this website as well as the overall top 13 below.

The Official Dream Toys List for 2012 has finally been released. There were some toys I was not expecting to see on the list, some that didn’t make it I thought would but overall a lot were just as predicted.

Cabbage Patch Kids
Cabbage Patch Kids are back and making it big this Christmas 2012.There are 12 to choose from each with their own unique personality and fashion sense. The new dolls have been updated for 2012, however their sewn faces/bodies still resemble the original Cabbage Patch Kids dolls. Each doll is 14 inches high and comes with removable fashion and shows. The 2012 doll comes with adoption papers, birth certificate anda download code for a 22 minute cartoon.
Furby
The Furby is back and updated for 2012. The Furby is a hairy bundle of fun and has been updated with bright LCD eyes (instead of plastic like the older model), which allows it to be expressive and responsive. The Furby has built in sensors that let it interact more whether that’s with you or other Furbys. The Furby can also interact with devices such as the iPhone and iPad. There are apps available so you can communicate with your Furby as well as feed him and translate his language. A much needed update of the beloved Furby.
Leapfrog LeapPad 2
The LeapFrog LeadPad Explorer 2 has been improved for 2012 and it doesn’t come as a surprise that its on predicted top Christmas toys lists. Just like the last model, it is packed full of activities and games for your child to do. However it has more memory capacity, a better battery life and is also faster at loading games/activities. It has kept all the same great features of the first model and still includes a built-in camera (that has better quality than the last) as well as video/music player.
Innotab 2
It wouldn’t be right to have a new LeapPad Explorer without there being a new Innotab too! It also wouldn’t be right if they both weren’t on everyone’s predicted best sellers for Christmas 2012. The new Innotab, like the new Leappad, is an improvement on the first model. Improvements to the Vtech Innotab are that it has a 1.3mptwist camera for taking photos, video recording as well as a microphone too. The screen is 5 inches and is touch screen. It also has g-sensor learning games and applications. It also includes al lthe great features of the first Innotab including ebook read, video player and much more.
Jake and the Neverland Pirates – Pirate Ship
Jake and the Neverland Pirates Pirate Ship is a musical ship that plays songs (the pirate theme song for example) as well as 25 action phrases too. The pirate Ship is known as Bucky – its Jake’s trusty pirate ship and has given him many an adventure. The ship has a working cannon that you can load with the water ball projectiles and press the button to shoot them out. There is also a hidden trap door in the side of ship where the Tick Tock croc is hiding. The ship comes with both Jake and Scully figures and you put Scully up on the Crow’s Nest lookout point to lookout for Captain Hook.
LEGO The Lord of the Rings: The Mines of Moria
It wouldn’t be right if there wasn’t at least one Lego playset in the top Christmas toys list (of course there is more than 1!). The Lego Mines of Moria playset firstly comes with 6 minifigures which include Pippin, Gimli, Legolas, Boromir and 2 Moria Orcs. You also get a giant cave troll and 2 skeletons. There is also an array of weapons to choose from including single-bladed axe, double-bladed axe, small hobbit sword, Boromir’s sword, shiel, chain, club and bow. For the actual Lego construction, the Mines of Moria features Balin’s Tomb. This is a hidden room with treasure. There are doors that can opened and the piece also has falling wall elements too.
LEGO Olivia’s House
Olivia’s House is a beautiful home located in the upscale neighbourhood of Heartlake Heights. Olivia lives with her parents Peter and Anna and their pet cat Kitty (all 4 mini-figures included in the set). Their beautiful home includes a kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom, rooftop patio, outdoor table and barbeque. It also has plenty of furniture too including toilet, sink, shower, vanity, sofa chair, sofa, coffee table, TV, refridgerator with opening door, oven, kitchen sink, kitchen table and chairs and cabinets too. As well as the furniture there are lots of accessories too including blender, baking tray, bowl, sausage, chicken drumsticks, apple, cherries, milk, carrots, muffin tins, mixer, utensils, spatula, frying pan, salt and pepper, hairbrush and diary. For the outside or the rooftop patio, you also get a flower accessory pack that has ladybirds, butterflies and of course flowers. This Lego playset is truly beautiful and has tones of little features for hours of fun.

Nerf N Strike Elite Hail Fire
The Nerf Hail Fire is a new release by Nerf and The Nerf N-Strike HailFire Blaster has the highest ammo capacity of any stock Nerf blaster. Its maximum capacity is 144. It comes with 4 six dart clips and 24 elite darts. It has one medium sized tactical rail on top of the blaster and a small one that is located in front of the rotating ammo rack. The Hail-Fire has 2 triggers – the top one for firing and the bottom for acceleration.
